Drug import law proposed by McCain

Senator John McCain (Republican, Arizona), the defeated US presidential  candidate last year, has introduced legislation to authorize cheaper  branded drugs from abroad, supporting a policy now adopted by the  winner, President Barack Obama (Marketletters passim). The  Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) warned,  however, that "the worldwide counterfeit threat is knocking at America's  door and will soon be greeted if prescription drug importation moves  forward."
