Early-stage vacc eradicates HER2 breast cancer in mice
Researchers at the US Wayne University have published the results of a study suggesting a new vaccine can completely eliminate HER2 breast cancer in mice, in the Cancer Research journal.
The vaccine produces large quantities of HER2 protein receptors, priming the immune system to target HER2-positive breast cancer cells. Around 30% of all breast cancer patients have the aggressive HER2-positive condition.
