EC clears Alliance Boots buy of Megapharm
The European Commission has granted clearance under the European Union Merger Regulation to the acquisition of sole control of Megapharm GmbH Pharmazeutische Erzeugnisse of Germany by Alliance Boots Holdings of the UK.
Alliance Boots is active in the wholesaling of pharmaceutical products and the retailing of health and beauty products. Megapharm provides a range of specialized wholesaling and logistics services for oncology products and related services. The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
