EEA/Swiss prescriptions resource available from the NPA
The UK's National Pharmacy Association has produced guidance for helping members deal with prescriptions originating in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland. The guidance is available through the NPA's web site and on request from its Information department.
The guidance, titled Dealing with Prescriptions originating in the EEA or Switzerland, has been produced in response to the new legislation that, from November 3, legally permits prescriptions written by a doctor or a dentist from another EEA country or Switzerland to be dispensed by pharmacies within the UK.
