Elan Acquires Hypertensives
- Ireland's Elan group has acquired two antihypertensives fromRhone-Poulenc Rorer for the UK and Irish markets - Univer (verapamil) and Nifensar (nifedipine) - originally licensed by Elan to R-PR in 1987. Elan says that it expects $15 million of extra sales from the re-acquisition.
