Humana says that it has taken its pharmacy consumer program, Maximize Your Benefit (MYB), to a new level; this now includes an on-line drug pricing tool that provides information that can be used to manage prescription drug costs.
Key features of the tool include real-time, benefit-specific pricing on prescription drugs, choosing a specific pharmacy for quoting prescription drug costs, listing of available generic and/or lower-cost alternative medications, savings potential of switching to an alternative and of filling prescriptions through RightSource, Humana's preferred prescription home delivery service.

The study also shows that, while the use of generic drugs continues to increase, many Americans still do not take advantage of the opportunity to save money by exploring options.
