- Elan Corp has appointed Mary Pendergast as executive vice presidentfor government affairs, a newly-created position which becomes effective on January 8, 1998. Ms Pendergast joins from the US Food and Drug Administration where she was deputy commissioner/senior advisor to the commissioner.
