FDA responds To Primsol Application
US firm Ascent Pediatrics has received a comment letter from theFood and Drug Administration saying the agency would accept a proposed new formulation of Primsol (oral solution of trimethoprim) without requiring Ascent to conduct additional trials. Based on this, the company believes it will gain approval to start clinical testing in mid-1999.
