France's LEEM supports diary of a patient

27 October 2008

The French drug industry association, the LEEM, is sponsoring the first of what is intended to be an annual literary prize, to be awarded to the best book written by a patient about their condition, to have been published in the past 12 months. The award, titled "Paroles de Patients" ("patients' words"), is given to the top-ranked of 12 books that are reviewed by a jury consisting of academics and journalists. The winning entry will be promoted at one of France's major book store chains, Relay, for one week in November.
