
US generics group Lannett Company (NYSE: LCI) has signed a definitive agreement to purchase Kremers Urban Pharmaceuticals, the US specialty generic pharmaceuticals subsidiary of Belgian drugmaker UCB (Euronext: UCB), for $1.23 billion, plus potential contingency payments. Lannett shares jumped 20% to $56.70 in late trading after the announcement.
