Russia’s Geropharm is seeking legal action to use five Novo Nordisk patents

The Russian drugmaker Geropharm is seeking legal action to use five patents held by Danish company Novo Nordisk (NOV: N), which are related to semaglutide. Some of these patents relate to the oral dosage form of the drug, according to materials from the Moscow Arbitration Court.

In line with Geropharm’s demands, Novo Nordisk should sign a licensing agreement with the company and grant it a simple, or non-exclusive, license. One of these patents involves the use of semaglutide in cardiovascular conditions, The Pharma Letter’s local correspondent reports.
