Genome Therapeutics Reaches Benchmark
Genome Therapeutics of the USA has attained its first research benchmark in its alliance with Astra of Sweden, triggering a $1.5 million payment to Genome. The deal was struck in September last year to accelerate and facilitate the development of therapeutics, vaccines and diagnostics to improve the treatment of conditions caused by the Helicobacter pylori bacteria. Payments to Genome will be around $22 million, including potential royalties.
