The European Association of Pharmaceutical Full-line Wholesalers (GIRP) has welcomed the European Commission's proposal for new legislation amending Directive 2001/83/EC as regards the prevention of the entry into the legal supply chain of medicinal products which are falsified in view of identity, history or source as an important step forward for tightening the supply chain.
