The Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE) has hosted a major public awareness exercise to promote its Code of Practice for the Provision of Medical Information, at the Athens Great Concert Hall, Greece. The event was hosted with the country's Ministry of Health and Social Security and assembled 2,500 representatives of the political, economic, scientific and academic communities, the SFEE said.
Dionysios Filiotis, the group's president, opened the event with a speech outlining the SFEE's Code of Practice, which has been implemented successfully for the past five years and is constantly updated.
Mr Filiotis described the code as "a thorough, detailed and functional text, on a European and international level, as it embodies the most appropriate principles and positions, and includes all provisions for the proper promotion of scientific information regarding medicinal products."
