UK drug major GlaxoSmithKline and the USA's Theravance have reported positive results from three Phase IIb studies assessing efficacy and safety of the inhaled corticosteroid fluticasone furoate across a range of doses in over 1,800 patients with mild, moderate and severe asthma. GSK and Theravance's stock price rose 1% to $36.68 and 2% to $14.97 on the day of the news, February 4.
