Hemosol's Hemolink OKayed for Phase III

28 March 1999

- Canada's Hemosol has been given the go-ahead for Phase III trialsof its blood substitute product Hemolink in the USA and UK. The first trial will be in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting surgery. The company is awaiting a decision from Health Canada to conduct trials in its home territory and expects to have completed all Phase III studies by the first half of 2000.
