IGM Biosciences says it is dropping development of imvotamab

US biotech IGM Biosciences (Nasdaq: IGMS), which is developing and delivering medicines to treat patients with autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, announced a strategic update to halt further development of imvotamab, an IgM-based CD20 X CD3 bispecific antibody T cell engager, and IGM-2644, an IgM-based CD38 X CD3 bispecific antibody T cell engager, for autoimmune diseases.

The development of imotamab had been partnered with French pharma major Sanofi (Euronext: SAN), but IGM announcement in an SEC document on Thursday, that Sanofi had informed it of the decision to walk away on Monday.
