India's drug regulator "blocks" innovation
The legacy of India's bureaucratic traditions is stifling the domestic drug industry, according to Swati Piramal, director of Piramal Life Sciences and also vice president of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India. The problem, she argues, is the lack of capacity and experience in reviewing new product applications.
