MFN one year on: a review of the 17 TrumpRx deals
In July 2025 the White House sent letters to 17 large drugmakers asking them to match, for American patients, the lowest prices they charge in other wealthy nations. A year on, all 17 have signed "most-favored-nation" (MFN) pricing deals. The administration says the group accounts for about 86% of the branded US market.
The main consumer-facing element, the website TrumpRx.gov, has been live since February 5, 2026. It offers discounts on selected drugs sold directly to cash-paying patients, priced in line with the lowest levels in other developed nations.
