Jacqueline Elbonne named as VP of global research quality at SPRI

Jacqueline Elbonne has been named vice president of global research quality at the Schering-Plough Research Institute. Dr Elbonne, who Joined the US firm in 2000, will lead the team responsible for maintaining manufacturing, laboratory, clinical and pharmacovigilance standards. Also, following the purchase of Organon BioSciences (Marketletter November 26, 2007) S-P has created several new positions. Specifically, Martin Huber will serve as vice president of global pharmacovigilance and deputy chief medical officer, and Hans Rekers has been appointed as deputy CMO for European operations.
