Japan approves Imigran
The Japanese Ministry of Health and Welfare has approved GlaxoWellcome's Imigran (sumatriptan for injection) migraine drug. GW's Japanese division hopes to start selling the drug as early as this spring, said a spokesperson, adding that trials are also being conducted for a pill and nose-drop version. GW plans to market the drug on its own, reports Bloomberg News.
