Japanese National Cancer Institute updates on generic drugs it has adopted
The Central Hospital of Japan's National Cancer Center has disclosed the list of its adopted generic drugs on its web site in response to a request from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
The list contains 74 ingredients/116 products which the hospital has take up as of February 1, 2008. Among the copy medicines, are three products from US generics major Mylan: epirubicin, an anticancer drug; granisetron, an anti-emetic; and HIV/AIDS treatment aciclovir, as well as Meiji Seika's vancomycin, and Elmed Eisai's loxoprofen sodium, an anti-inflammatory.
