J-P Garnier returning to pharma scene?
Former GlaxoSmithKline chief executive Jean-Pierre Garnier, who retired from the post in May (Marketletters passim) is set to take over the CEO-ship of Pierre Fabre, France's third-largest pharmaceutical company, according to a report in the UK's Financial Times.
His mandate is to restructure the Castres, southern France-based drugs and cosmetics firm, which has consolidated annual sales in the region of $1.6 billion). Mr Garnier will continue in his various senior advisory roles, such as with United Technologies, Renault and Dubai Capital.
