Kosan names Helen Kim CEO, plans job cuts
US biotechnology firm Kosan BioSciences has promoted Helen Kim, who joined the group in January, as chief executive. The move came alongside the announcement of a restructuring of the workforce, with a 37% reduction expected, so that Kosan can focus on its lead clinical programs - tanespimycin in multiple myeloma and metastatic breast cancer and epothilone KOS-1584 in non-small cell lung cancer.
