La Jolla Pharma in jeopardy after pivotal Riquent trial is abandoned as futile
The USA's La Jolla Pharmaceutical's Phase III ASPEN trial of its Riquent (abetimus sodium; Marketletters passim), an investigational drug for the treatment of lupus nephritis, has been ended prematurely after the Independent Data Monitoring Board determined the study to be futile.
