LIFT study: good results for Schering's Betaferon
German drugmaker Schering AG says that recent Phase III data shows its multiple sclerosis drug, Betaferon (interferon beta-1b), remained safe, well-tolerated and showed continued efficacy in relapse rate reduction beyond five years, as part of the 16-year LIFT study, the longest ever evaluation of a disease-modifying MS therapy.
