Medco study finds PPIs reduce effectiveness of Plavix in CV treatment
Four of the most commonly-prescribed heartburn medications reduce the effectiveness of French and US drug majors Sanofi-Aventis and Bristol-Myers Squibb's antiplatelet drug Plavix (clopidogrel), according to research presented by Medco Health Solutions at the annual scientific meeting of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions .
