- MGI Pharma has submitted a supplemental New Drug Application tothe US Food and Drug Administration for Salagen tablets (pilocarpine). It hopes to expand the current indication to include the treatment of dry eyes and mouth associated with Sjogren's Syndrome. Salagen has been approved in the USA since 1994 for the relief of dry mouth following radiation of head and neck cancer.
