- Myriad Genetics, which has published the full sequence of the BRCA2 breast cancer gene in Nature Genetics (March 1), has announced plans to introduce a combined BRCA1/BRCA2 diagnostic test in 1997. Together, BRCA1 and BRCA2 are thought to be responsible for approximately 90% of early-onset, hereditary breast cancer and 90% of ovarian cancer.
