Name change to Actavis for Pharmaco and Balkanpharma
Icelandic firm Pharmaco, which acquired the Bulgarian company Balkanpharma in 2000, has changed its name, along with that of its subsidiary, to Actavis, effective May 17, as part of a strategy to become a global leader in the generic drug sector.
