New EC web site to inform on animal testing alternatives
Following swiftly on the issue of the European Directive 86/609 on the use of animals in scientific procedures (Marketletter November 10), the European Commission has launched a new web site, the so-called Tracking System for Alternative test methods Review Validation and Approval (TSAR), designed to track the development of new alternative test methods which should replace, reduce and refine current animal testing.
