NicOx "on the brink" of becoming a drugmaker
French drug developer NicOx SA says it hopes to transform itself into a standalone sales-generating company with the US submission of a New Drug Application for its lead drug candidate naproxcinod planned for mid-2009. The agent, a derivative of naproxen, was developed using NicOx' platform that allows it to add nitric oxide-donating moieties to approved compounds.
