
Dutch specialty pharma firm Norgine Pharmaceuticals has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Theravia, a French pharmaceutical company specializing in cutting-edge treatments for patients with rare and debilitating conditions from Mérieux EquityPartners. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Recent deals with Fennec Pharma for Pedmarqsi (anhydrous sodium thiosulfate injection) and X4 Pharma for mavorixafor demonstrate Norgine's strong emphasis on driving growth in rare disease and specialty medicines through acquisitions and in-licensing.
