Novartis\' Afinitor recommended in Europe for advanced RCC
Swiss drug major Novartis\' Afinitor (everolimus) has been recommended for approval in Europe for advanced renal cell carcinoma, based on data showing that it more than doubled median progression-free survival in patients with advanced kidney cancer (4.9 versus 1.9 months).
