OncoTherapy focuses on cancer vaccs
Japanese bioventure group OncoTherapy Sciences is focusing its R&D on vaccines to cure cancer by exploiting patients' own immune systems, reports the Nikkei Weekly.
The firm's candidate OTS 102, which it is jointly developing with Fuso Pharmaceutical Industries, is ready to move into final-stage trials. Results are expected in May 2010. Last month, the firm gave the sales and development rights for another of its oncologic vaccine candidates to Shionogi.
