- Otsuka Pharmaceutical of Japan has formed a joint venture withSintyal Argentina, called Sintyal Otsuka. The new company will produce and distribute pharmaceuticals developed in Japan within the Mercosur trade block. Sintyal Otsuka has invested $1 million in the JV, and plans to present its first drug, a cardiovascular therapy, in May, it says.
