- The German federal health office, the BGA, has ordered additional safety measures covering the use of products containing paracetamol. An extension of product information is necessary, the BGA says, because new studies indicate that in rare cases paracetamol can cause shortage of breath, sweating, lowered blood pressure and shock. The BGA is mainly concerned with the many products containing paracetamol that are sold on a non-prescription basis.
