US diversified health care major Abbott Laboratories (NYSE: ABT) pleased investors yesterday after revealing financial results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2010 that, excluding one-time costs associated with acquisitions, met Wall Street expectation, and with turnover leaping over 13% to $9.97 billion, though net earnings were down 6.4% at $1.14 billion, or $0.92 a share. Analysts polled by FactSet expected profit of $1.30 per share on $9.87 billion in revenue.
