Takeda’s next-gen TYK2 inhibitor shows high rates of skin clearance

Japan’s largest drugmaker Takeda (TYO: 4502) announced new Phase III data for zasocitinib, its investigational, next-generation, highly selective and potent oral TYK2 inhibitor, zasocitinib, including secondary endpoint data showing consistent, high rates of skin clearance in patients with plaque psoriasis, including in high-impact sites.

Psoriasis in these high-impact sites like the scalp (impacting about half of patients with psoriasis) can significantly disrupt daily activities and affect quality of life, and are often the hardest to treat.
