Alliance Boots links with EORTC for colorectal cancer research funding

Following the successful completion of a preliminary phase and the enthusiasm shown by its teams and businesses, Alliance Boots will commence the roll-out of its international partnership with the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) charitable trust at the beginning of the new financial year (April 1, 2012 -March 31, 2013).

Alliance Boots has committed to raising 5 million euros ($6.6 million) in the next five years to support the creation and funding of a Biobank for colorectal cancer and later a platform for blood sampling to enable genetic profiling.
