Astellas strengthens body of evidence behind Izervay

Japan’s Astellas Pharma (TYO: 4503) has announced results from a post-hoc analysis of the GATHER1 and GATHER2 pivotal studies, showing that Izervay (avacincaptad pegol intravitreal solution) cut the risk of progressing to loss of driving eligibility compared with sham over 24 months in geographic atrophy (GA) secondary to age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
