Bausch Health hit by Phase III program failure

Canadian pharma company Bausch Health (NYSE: BHC) has announced the results of the global Phase III RED-C clinical program.

This research is evaluating amorphous-rifaximin solid soluble dispersion (SSD) in adults with liver cirrhosis for the primary prevention of hepatic encephalopathy (HE).

The RED-C program consists of two global, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase III trials involving more than 1,000 patients across 398 sites in 17 countries.
