
German pharma and crop science major Bayer (BAYN: DE) posted second-quarter 2026 sales of 10.87 billion euros ($12.39 billion), up 1.2% as reported and 2.2% on a currency- and portfolio-adjusted basis. Core earnings per share fell 16.7% to 0.95 euros ($1.08), held back by a normalization in tax expense and weaker earnings in the group's reconciliation line.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) before special items edged up 1.9% to 2.14 billion euros, for a margin of 19.7%. Net income came in at 219 million euros against a year-earlier loss of 199 million euros, with total earnings per share of 0.23 euros compared with minus 0.20 euros.
