
Indian drugmaker Wockhardt (BOM: 532300) has secured a major regulatory breakthrough with the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) granting approval for the import and marketing of its indigenously discovered antibiotic Zaynich in India.
The therapy, a fixed-dose combination of zidebactam and cefepime, is indicated for adult patients with complicated urinary tract infections (cUTIs), including pyelonephritis, and cases accompanied by Gram-negative bacteremia.
