
The US Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will provide eligible Medicare beneficiaries access to certain GLP-1 medications for $50 per month beginning July 1, 2026, through December 31, 2027.
Under the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, a time-limited demonstration, the CMS is expanding access to innovative, evidence-based weight-loss treatments. Eligible individuals enrolled in Medicare Part D prescription drug plans will be able to access these medications at a predictable and affordable cost - $50 for a monthly supply. This approach reflects CMS’ continued focus on improving access to high-value treatments that support better long-term health outcomes.
