Drugmakers call on Russian state to speed new drugs registration

Russian pharmaceutical companies and global drugmakers operating in the local market have called on the national government to speed the process of entering new drugs in public procurements after their registration, reports The Pharma Letter’s local correspondent.

According to producers, in accordance with the current practice drug takes up to three years to be included in the existing lists and then included in the state guarantees program. During this time producers are actually unable to recoup their investments in the development of their drugs.
