EFPIA calls for coordinated European action to expand access to precision oncology
Europe’s research-based pharma industry has urged policymakers to improve coordination across the European Union (EU) to tackle persistent inequalities in access to precision oncology, warning that many patients are still unable to benefit from advances in targeted cancer therapies and biomarker testing.
The European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations' (EFPIA) Oncology Platform has published a white paper, Advancing precision oncology treatment and testing across Europe: An evidence-based roadmap for healthcare system stakeholders to improve cancer care, setting out recommendations to improve access to personalized cancer care.
