Gilead builds case for Livdelzi in broader PBC population

US pharma major Gilead Sciences (Nasdaq: GILD) has reported new Phase III data suggesting Livdelzi (seladelpar) can help normalize a key liver marker in people with primary biliary cholangitis whose disease remains active despite earlier treatment.

Among evaluable participants in the trial, 83% achieved composite alkaline phosphatase normalization at 12 months. The response appeared durable, with 74% of evaluable participants meeting the same endpoint at 24 months.
