Global drug discovery outsourcing market to be worth $16.21 billion by 2015, says Visiongain

The global drug discovery outsourcing market will be worth $16.21 billion by 2015, according to a new report from information provider Visiongain, which notes that the market generated $8.30 billion in 2010.

Titled Drug Discovery Outsourcing: World Market 2011-2021, the report shows that the drug discovery outsourcing market has grown significantly over the past decade. Many aspects of early-stage R&D are outsourced to contract research organizations (CROs) with expertise in particular aspects of the drug discovery process.
