Greek pharma groups warn record hospital medicines clawback threatens innovation

Greece’s pharmaceutical industry has warned that patient access to innovative medicines could be put at risk after the hospital medicines clawback reached a record 80.7% in the first half of 2025.

The Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE) and the PhARMA Innovation Forum (PIF) said the latest figure marks a further deterioration from the first half of 2024 and shows that measures announced by the government two years ago have failed to contain pharmaceutical expenditure.
